Hi, I'm Alex Root. Welcome to my profile! I am a student at Indiana University, studying to earn my Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising, as well as a minor in Entrepreneurship at the Kelley School of Business. My experiences include style consulting in a premiere menswear boutique, Andrew Davis Menswear. While having nearly three years experience at Andrew Davis, I have developed tremendous visual merchandising capabilities, as well as a unique understanding of custom menswear fitting, styling and consulting. I excel in custom suiting for business professionals, and have a passion for urban street styling as well. My strongest assets are my passion for styling men to look their best for every occasion, my creative visual merchandising skills in the showroom, and my entrepreneurial attitude to always strive to achieve more. When I graduate in the Spring of 2016, I plan to start my career with a fashion retailer or brand with a visual merchandising or style consulting role. My long term career aspirations include using my entrepreneurial skills to run my own fashion design company, using vertical integration to design, manufacture, and sell my own products.
